Believe it or not, Gio and Jennifer actually met in the 1st grade. He sat behind Jennifer that whole year and of course he picked on her, so, it wasn’t "love at 1st sight." Gio and Jennifer had friends who were twins, so they grew up having sleepovers at their house and spending a lot of time together with them. After they graduated from high school, they lost contact with each other for 10 years, although they could see how each other were doing via Facebook. "We both went on to live our lives and really never thought we would end up reconnecting, but then one day I was having drinks with some close friends and Gio's name came up in the conversation. We never knew we had so many mutual friends outside of our group of friends from school. Small world!" After realizing the connection they had through friends . . . the two of them began talking and had an instant connection.
How Gio proposed - March of 2014.
"I sent Gio a message about my fake ring we had purchased in Mexico missing a fake diamond. He responded back that he was "fake" mad. When he got home from work that day, he pretended to find the missing stone from my ring so that I would come check it out. When I got over to him he turned and was on his knee asking me to be his wife!"
Gio and Jennifer love to vacation in Mexico, so a wedding in Cozumel, Mexico was the perfect place for them! They were married in September of 2014 and joined by a group of friends and family to help celebrate!
"We were finally married after 24 years of friendship. ☺"
