Kramer and Lyndsay came to know, trust, and love their Redeemer at such divine seasons in their lives. "We both grew up in church but we can honestly say we "went through the motions" until a still small voice whispered words of grace and unconditional love."
"While attending Truman State, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that trickled into other health problems. I was in a new city with few friends, and had so many questions unanswered. In my moment of desperation, Jesus found me in the middle of a field, kneeling, pleading for Him to make this illness go away…"My Daughter," He spoke, "I will never leave you or forsake you." And from that day, I walked away trusting everything He has willed and brought me through - for His glory and not my own. I was baptized on March 10, 2010…which so happens to be Kramer's birthday (March 10), Coincidence…I think not." Lyndsay
"Kramer is the kindest man I know; A friend, that a friend would like to have. He searched through many avenues to find a life worth living but no earthly thing would satisfy. About two years ago He found Jesus' forgiveness, mercy, and grace and chose to follow The King of Kings, Lord of Lords, a Savior that truly saves. Kramer now knows and has tasted what redemption is. I am so grateful for his bravery and courage to not settle for what this world has to offer."
Kramer and Lyndsay met in nursing school at Saint Luke's College of Health Sciences attending the same classes but not really knowing each other. Their first year was more like "bodies that breathed the same air." They decided to car pool to school and clinical together their second year to cut on travel costs. "I remember the first time we rode to class together--I climbed up into his truck and heard a familiar voice blaring through his stereo…Lecrae. I remember thinking to myself, how does Kramer know about Lecrae?" Instantly Kramer became one of the most interesting people Lyndsay had met. So they jammed to Lecrae for a few trips, talking openly and freely about their relationship with the Lord. Kramer's honest, humility, encouragement, and eagerness to serve was at a level she had never known.
March 3rd was their first unofficial date; a Chris Tomlin concert. "I closed my eyes to take all the joy and worship in while the song Sovereign was being sung. When I opened my eyes, before me stood Kramer, his hand reached out to me. We were standing before such a majestic bright Light… then a peace washed over me like I have never known. Then I knew, I knew that day, during that song, that I was going to spend the rest of my life walking hand-in-hand with Kramer. " Lyndsay
Kramer and Lyndsay had a sweet spring and summer of dating, learning each others best and worst qualities. They became each others closest friend, mightiest prayer warrior, soft rebuker, daily example of Christ's love, and tangible grace. The fall and winter brought their schooling to a close. They were blessed with the ability to encourage each other during both valleys and mountain tops as they took boards and accepted jobs.
Kramer asked Lyndsay to marry him March 28th, 2014. He took her on a hike up to a beautiful view of God's creation and said to her, while shaking, "You are my best friend, and I want to spend the rest of my life loving you, will you marry me?" "I was in complete shock and didn't answer the first, or the second time, but as air finally filled my lungs I said "Yes!" the third time."
They were married September 2014 and have been honeymooning ever since. "It is such a gift to live day to day with your best friend." They are also learning all about the fun and challenging things that come in the first year of marriage. "And our story continues on for we know that as we love God most, we learn how to love each other more…"
